85 percent of applicants to Kent State University at Kent were admitted for fall 2018

At Kent State University at Kent, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Kent enrolled 28,122 students in fall 2018, including 22,557 in undergraduate and 5,565 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 19 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 85 percent of the 16,337 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 32 percent enrolled.
