Portage County Sheriff's Office - Ohio issued the following announcement on January 21.
FEDERAL SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION
On January 21, 2022, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Portage County Sheriffs Office Drug and Violent Crime Unit and Portage County Sheriff’s Office executed a federal search warrant at a residence in Ravenna Township. During the execution of the warrant, 20 firearms were seized with approximately 5,000 rounds of ammunition and numerous high capacity magazines. The individual was prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous felony drug trafficking and drug possession convictions in the Portage County Court of Common Pleas. Investigators will present evidence to the United States Attorneys Office for future criminal charges.
