In 1890, Frederick Loudin, leader of the famous Jubilee Singers, had just returned from a six-year world tour. The group had performed for royalty (including Queen Victoria), and had visited places as remote as Australia and New Zealand. This talk will focus on Loudin's life in Ravenna after returning from the tour, discussing the construction of Loudin's famous house Otira on South Walnut Street, his 25th wedding anniversary in 1896, and final singing performance. Presented by Christina McVay.
