Portage County Sheriff's Office - Ohio issued the following announcement on February 22.
The Portage County Sheriff's Office is sending our thoughts and prayers to the men and women of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office as they mourn the loss of Sheriff Fred Abdalla.
He proudly served as Jefferson County Sheriff for 32 years after serving in Vietnam with the US Army.
Sheriff, we thank you for your service and send our prayers that you may rest in peace.
