On November 7, 2022 Deputy Josh Hanenkrath, Associate Deputy Stan Hartzell and former Deputy Kyle Potts were honored for their actions in a rescue they assisted Highland Township Fire Department. All individuals received the Ohio EMS Star of Life award presented by the state of Ohio.
