State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) has been named the recipient of the Legislator of the Year Award by the Ohio Housing Council for her dedicated work on workforce and affordable housing in Ohio.
"It is a true honor to receive this award," said Pavliga. "Ensuring that Ohioans can afford a roof over their heads must remain a top priority for our state, and I will not stop fighting to make that happen."
Pavliga's efforts were recognized for her work on House Bill 3, specifically focusing on addressing workforce housing tax credits. Her contributions led to the successful incorporation of the bill's provisions into House Bill 33, the state operating budget. This integration resulted in the provision of workforce housing tax credits for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) to grant developers.
The Ohio Housing Council (OHC) bestowed the Legislator of the Year Award to Pavliga during their Spring Symposium held in Columbus. The OHC is a statewide association comprising affordable housing professionals committed to making a positive impact on Ohio's affordable housing sector.
