Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities issued the following announcement on February 26.
The last week of each month our outings are reserved for more rec/social opportunities in our #BuildingIndependence Program. This week Windham Exempted Village Schools came swimming at our Happy Day Services Building and Streetsboro City School District went bowling and had lunch at Spins Bowl Kent.
We had a lot of fun and embedded natural life skills practice…things such as turn taking, appropriate social interaction, and functional math involved with ordering food, paying, and ensuring you get the proper change back!
